Maxis Manor is it worth it?
I WAS, lol, interested in the manor and seeing if it's worth it. I do spend a little bit monthly..max..$5... sometimes not even that. I have done many Mayors rewards and continue to..so I've built a small nest egg. So, how are you getting those last manors without spending any or huge amounts of cash, lol. 8500 simcash is $100 real cash..O.o... that's not including what's been spent to acquire the first 3. OMG...imo, very humbly speaking here..that is absolutely the most ludicrous expenditure of real money, on a virtual game, that you will never own..you just use the app and there are people who have lost their entire cities without recovery. So, around $200 real cash for these manors, with a little Simcash left over..nothing to write home about though. All I can say is if anyone has extra cash they want to donate to those who would like a manor..then.."if you've got the money honey, I've got the time". You could buy an Xbox, PlayStation or just about 3-4 really nice PC games that you actually own. To each his own, but I don't support in app purchases heavily and try to sway people to try to spend a minimum amount, if any. If they advertise play for free, then do your best to play for that or as close as you can. They should just sell the app to people. I'd pay 15-20 for the app..maybe..but I want no extra costs whatsoever. $200 can do a lot more in a lot of different ways but it won't be for an app. No matter how much I like it..if I had to, which thankfully I don't, spend that money to enjoy a little game, I'd delete that thing and never think twice. I guess if it's a persons real "passion" in life, then who am I to judge anyone. I spent 1,000s on a piano..but it's mine.lto play..whenever I want..and it will most likely be in good shape as long as I live..even longer. I can touch it and hear it. This is an app on a phone or tablet..an app..just an app. Make a spaceship out of Legos or a hand crafted scene. "You'll get more mileage from cheap pair of sneakers" ..Billy Joel. Enjoy the game, I am..and do. I judge you not. I just like to shine a light on it so it's clearly seen. I personally think giving to charity is the best for all. Nothing will ever compare to knowing you fed, clothed, or gave assistance to someone in dire need. And that person will never forget that they were helped. It's not how you feel, it's how you make others feel. Anyway, lets all play and have a little fun..just don't go broke doing it and when others spend, it helps float those who play for free..thanks! :-)...not to mention supports poor business practices..but let's call it an act of charity. lol ..I don't own a Maxis Manor..btw..I know eventually I'll get burned out but when I walk away..it won't be with regrets. I've spent a little for entertainment and put the rest to other uses I hold more dear. So, put your thoughts on the table about it..is it really worth it?
