I always give the option to have a meeting time if someone is offering a trade and in passing we agree to trade. It's not great but works. Don't advertise item to be traded, person should be at the city to immediately pick it up. Touch base before posting..ask if they are on and ready, then do the deed. Ideally, a private chat and trade method would be most effective. I've had questionable things happen. When trading between another member in the manner above, the only other people aware that this is happening is other club members. We had trade materials get snapped up the second it was posted. Dirty rats. I wish I could find out who was on..which brings up another consideration. There could be a small symbol by each members name that signifies they are on, or on but not available. It's not uncommon in other games. As president, I try to monitor players progress because people quit playing and they just leave their city there. It would help if I could just check the membership roster. I ask people to gracefully bow out or let me know but for the life of me I have never encountered such a group of folks who only speak in trading..nothing else. I know it's not a super social thing but..well, I get tired of talking to myself, lol. I mean there is no general comments. It's my club so, technically I could boot them out. I know there are a few who have dumped their feeders there..which if you're not in all the way..get the other foot out. If you bring your feeder in to support the club..fine but when there's 4-5 feeders they are leeching from all around. Lol..rats. Anyway, if you're a really cool player, not super serious because you realize it's a game but every once in while like to give the ball a good toss, if you like working as a team..supporting each other in a variety of ways and like to throw out a joke or so..say hi..lol..see Pink Panther at the Vudu Lounge. She's a pretty cool gal, ...I should know but she's thinking she might as well have just stayed solo. :-/ anyway..this is the strangest club I've ever been in and I've played a lot of Mmorpgs with guilds, clubs..whatever you want to call them and this is the absolutely the worst club set up I've ever been in,lol. But, I love the game and I hope with time EA will iron it all out to make it more productive than just saying well, I'm in a club, I get a good trade or 2 once in a blue moon but after that..I'm in the twilight zone. Maybe I'm just too social or active and this is kinda a sandbox stand alone type thing..I just see so much great potential in working together. I'm a pretty good mentor and enjoy helping others navigate the game. I've offered my support in any way I can think of..I'm a geek too but I'm not a mute geek. Lol. I also don't impose game rules. Free to play as you like but be active, if you're not active for more than a week and you didn't give any notice then I give the boot. If you're vacationing in Italy for a month and tell me, you space is safe. There are a few that say a little bit..maybe 2 out of 24. What am I doing wrong? Expectations too high? What's other clubs like? Sorry I've gone lateral..anyway..have fun!
