Nano-tech factory faster?
Is lack of polution the only benefit of the nano-tech factories? Or are they faster? The description says high-performance but I suspect it's really no different?

With any upgrade that seems to be really expensive, you have to realize, they aren't intended for you to have until further in the game. But the nanotech only utilizes any placement on the map without upsetting the Sims, because there's no pollution. Which in the later parts of the game, space is a huge deal. you'll be able to place anywhere. Regardless, I'm going to have factories, garbage, and sewage on the very edge of my map and government right where it should be....next to huge piles of crud. 😂 So don't worry about them until way late in the game when you will be making tons of money off tax revenue and high priced item sales.

The non-pollution benefit doesn't practically matter in any case. Since you also have to place your power plants somewhere, plus you have to have a road leading to the factories, my solution was quite simple: locate the factories right next to the border, then the road, and on the other side of the road my fusion/solar power plants. The pollution area of the high-tec factories doesn't reach beyond the power plants. Hence, no complaints from the inhabitants, and all the space gets to be used efficiently.
So, really, there is absolutely no point paying for nano-tech. I wish the developers would modify them, give something extra. I wouldn't mind paying even more for better factories, if I could cut down the production times.
