New Mass Transit railroads not connecting to bridges

The new railway will not connect over bridges in my game is this a bug or is there a method to get the railways connected

Yep, exact same thing is happening to me in Sunny Isles - I've built a small station on one island, and a large one on the next island. When I try to connect the large one to the bridge, the game freezes and needs re-starting.
