No yellow building helmets anymore, cant update..

since this afternoon i dont get new yellow builder helmets anymore.. i've updated them all, but no new ones are coming, so i actually cant play anymore.. no income and storage full..

update: come to think of it.. i completely moved everything around, buildings, streets, etc.. and i think it is since then..

update: just build a new building, which does give me a builders hat, but excisting buildings dont get hats anymore..

    yeah duh..! i know the principals of the game. got a 100% content sims mostly of the time..

    it now looks like that all buildings are fully developed.. but they just dont all look like skyscrapers..
    so it could be something for the developerss to make a way to show how far development on the buildings is.. in what stage..
    possibly an extra overview like the ground value at the housing options..

    Are the buildings you can't update skyscrapers by any chance?

    no, goes for all the buildings i already had..! new ones do get the helmets..

    they are 'higher' buildings, but i dont think they are all skyscrapers..

    got towers, condo's, fordham square, studio apts

    you can upgrade each building 6x. The +1836 is last one for each building.

    Enlarge your storage.

    Get money from creating and selling things.

    More buildings means more money you need for services (and with more levels new ones arrise, with expensive buildings that are required to keep people happy!) And buildings costs more on services then they generate for upgrades so plan wisely. And only level up if you have enough money for services for new buildings.

    well guess i updated them all then.. where can i see which lvl the houses are in? (might be handy in the housing overviews)

    If you're not getting yellow helmets to prompt upgrades even on low level buildings like houses it means the sims have no desire to upgrade. You can tap on the government icon to see what the likely hood of upgrades on a given building are. Green smiley face means an upgrade is likely...Red frown means they wont upgrade.

    To increase chance of upgrades you'll have to build more parks and specialty buildings like casinos, hotels etc...also make sure you have full coverage with all your services, even transportation and education. If youre not sure what to add just tap on the thought bubbles and your sims will tell you.

    This happens to me when I have several buildings under construction.  

    It will always be a Tokyo Town site that will not produce a hard hat until I upgrade another Tokyo town, then the most recently ungraded one will not give the option to upgrade, but the other TT buildings will.  

    I believe the maximum Tokyo Town upgradable buildings was always two.  I don't know why.  I have tons of available memory.  It may happen with Paris, too.

    Also, I notice that my first fully upgraded Paris site is a squat little (six story) building, but with over 4400 residents.  I kept waiting for the hardhat, but it never got one --even after I upgraded another Parisian site.  Given the population, I think it is done.

    I have 100% happy citizens.

    I built one more plot. Upgraded it to a house. Now, every time that one house gets a yellow hat, i choose the option of upgrading another building.

    It works. But i'm upgrading a very very slow pace.
