I cant believe no one else finds this to be a problem.
The problem here is with your numbers and times. Here is what I have experienced:
Time for Lab to prodice 1 Neo item is 1 hour
2 Neo items is 3 hours
3 Neo items is 8 hours
and yes I have a problem with just about everything connected with the Omega update. The cost, the 5th currency, the inability to sell items, the ridiculous prices and the need for the NeoMall. And the ironic part is that the buildings when finished arent that fantastic
But in the end we all have the same decision we can make...to play or not
You left out the option of EA fixing this.
Also the times are Research Time PLUS Lab Time. You have to count the processing in the Lab as well as the final time in the Research Center.

I didnt leave EA fixing this out because that isnt an option. They arent going to fix this because in their eyes it is exactly what they intended. It is doing exactly what they wanted and how they wanted it, to get us to spend money. They dont perceive it to be broken

The part about spending money, you are right. That is what they want.
Yet, the game is actually broken as well. That is the part that needs to be fixed.
