If someone doesn't like playing wars, that's right.
If their clubs got severe rules about it, that's right too.
But to be less than the 1% of players and pretend EA to change a game that (with some problems, of course) is liked by the other 99% sounds a little utopian.
EDIT by EA_Jason: Trolling, baiting, flaming, or general rudeness removed.
If a team doesn't tick 'War' in the team setup menu, they shouldn't get war or monster attacks as tasks in the CoM. Their tasks should just be non-war, thereby giving them an equal opportunity to win the big individual prizes and not wasting their gold tickets by having to cancel the war and monster attack tasks.
I hope that clarifies the situation for you and anyone else that's getting their knickers in a twist over this post by trying to detract from the original post and raise smoke screens by going on about veganism, utopia, totalitarianism and some of the other brain farts I've witnessed by some of the arm chair professors. 🙂
It helps to keep your comments relevant when some people are raising legitimate concerns about the game
Many thanks to those of you that have understood and supported this thread. If you work for EA, please make contact as the issue is far from resolved. The support ticket hasn't been closed down yet either, it's still a live issue for us.
Adios.

Dear @PinnacleValley: I don't know the correct % of people loving wars in SCBI, but let's see these facts: how many clubs are classified on war ranking? in January 1919 we rebooted our club and restarted from 1500 war points. At the end of the first war we were ranked at about #130.000. We won that war, so I can easely suppose that there were at least other 10.000 clubs behind us. 18 months ago!! I've heard someone telling that clubs now are about 200.000. If it's true, there could be a celling of 5M players involved in wars. OK, I know how many clubs and players are inactive or there just to be a "number", so let's easely cut this number to... let's say 1/5? Still 1M players involved in wars.
Now let's take another fact: how many complains can we read in this forum about removing wars or war tasks? I mean, almost all of the threads in a game forum like this are complains about something that doesn't work well or that could be improved, and even if there's lot of problems with wars, there's only few people clearly asking to stop wars or war tasks. Ok, maybe not a 1%, they're probably more than just a 1%, but it remains a little minority.
Why must EA have to change a gameplay to satisfy a request shared by a little minority? And how can they know you don't want to play wars? And what about if you change idea? And, what about the fairness in competing with people who still have war tasks? You could argue that it would be easy without wars tasks, as you could specialize in less kind of tasks, or viceversa you could argue that to have more kind of tasks would help in competition. Or you should separate competitors by they choices....
Not so simple.
About vegans, let me close this offtopic with just some words: Live and let live should be the rule. I don't have any problem with vegan eating vegetables I respect it. At least until a vegan disrespect me for eating a Tbone steak. Even worst if he disrespect me and too starts using falsehoods or hypocrisies they easely believe as avails their theories, like that human body are not made for eating meat.
(PS: I already know the way you write your posts, and I share it and understand it even when we have different opinions, my friend😉)
@Wolfphoto: don't misunderstand me, I used a little ironic joke. Forgive me if that offened you, it wasn't my intention, but let me explain why I used this irony: of course you have the right to ask for what you would like. To ask, not to pretend and somehow, what you wrote sounded like a pretension, at least to me.
Then, after your request, just be realistic: if your own one is shared by a lot of people, maybe (MAYBE!) one day EA will try to satisfy it. But if just few players will share it as it happened until now, I guess it won't happen.
BTW, good luck on your mission. - 6 years ago
@meesfeet Sorry my friend, my question referring to 1% was rhetorical in nature and intended as an inside joke as we’ve shared in this discussion and determined that no one really knows. As far as my reference to vegans and carnivores it was simply a continuation of your analogy.
Too often folks simply skim what is written ( I do not include you in that category because you are very thoughtful and thorough in digesting what is written) and this thread is a perfect example. The initial poster stated (in the 1st 4 paragraphs) their concern was the inclusion of war items in the mayor’s pass and eventually meandered to concerns about inclusion of war tasks in paragraph 8 which I strongly agree. My response consisted of 3 parts in the 1st paragraph...⚽ How to deal with the war items within your club rules; 🏈 My opinion of war items in the mayor’s pass (no issue because you know what you’re buying before you buy); and 🏀 Confirming my concern with war assignments in CoM as well.
Then I took exception to how something was worded and used the term “seems totalitarian” and that‘s when folks got their knickers in a twist (I believe that was the term used - around here it’s your shorts in a wad) or offended and took great exception...a wise man would have stated that is not our intent, but instead tried to spin it...and created a bit of reaction with my favorite being “their club, their rules” that confirms the skimming premise. If they had only read what I wrote in the last paragraph...
“Of course each club can decide how they work, but remember each individual has the right to choose where they play and consider yourself fortunate they choose to participate with you, if you decide to kick them out for selling war items or attacking the monster...give them my name and have them send me a private message through the forum and I will help them find a club that will support their efforts. Good luck.“
Anyone questioning the above can simply read (not skim) the initial response to the poster and reach their own conclusions. I tire of this discussion, so I’ll go find my arm chair. Take care my friend.
