After completing 2 challenges, I really feel the voting system needs to be changed.
Can’t select the best design with the current system. There are cities that barely fit the requirements and not even “designing”. Don’t want to vote for them...
Mayors who spent 1 hours to make the city look pretty get only 3 stars, and mayors who spent only 10 mins just placed 5 houses also get 3 stars... it’s a total joke. this needs to be fixed.
Here are some ideas;
-let us skip vote if those randomly selected 2 cities aren’t worth voting
-let us pick from randomly selected 5 (or 10) designs instead of 2, so we can vote for a design that actually looks good, but not elimination method.
I saw some designs a lot better than the winning one. Please improve the voting system so those great designers can get 5 stars!!

I do like the design challenges part of the game. As another post stat3d, it gets away from the wars and back to building a beautiful city. I recognise this is in development so here’s some feedback to hopefully improve things:
1) it would be nice to see what we submitted. I take a screen shot but that’s the only reminder it have.
2) prize track appears to have the same problem as mayors pass did. Looks like we will get 4 goes at entries given time off in between each round, 150 blueprints to enter, 100 blueprints per star so max blueprints is 4x(150+500)=2600. Prizes are 50, 350, 950, ??? If they carry on up in 600s, the top is over 3000. If the prize levels continue to rise, the end is way beyond impossible. In fact, at 3 stars per round, I suspect the free land expansion is out of range.
3) the voting needs to change. Most designs, as stated in other posts, are not worth many, if any stars. The one that won this time had nothing to do with a festival! I suspect the pairs are selected at random, fine, they probably ought to be. But that doesn’t mean they all get the same number of voting opportunities. In my mind, something that gets voted on 5 times and wins all 5 is better than something voted on 20 times but wins 6. The starsshould probably be given out on a % basis. If less than 5 votes, number of stars = number of votes won (to avoid 1 vote, 1 win coming top). Once past 5 votes, 100 won = 5 stars. 90% or more is 4.5 stars, 80% or more is 4 stars and so on. The alternative way is possibly more complex: you vote on them one at a time and give it a star rating. Whichever, the current system must change.
for reference, I have attached the screen shot of my entry. I am not saying I should have won, that’s fine. But are we really saying mine was 3 stars ( just better than average) and the winner 5 stars (the best). I think not.

I agree with most of the comments up here. Especially the voting part, and seeing the designs getting 5 stars which are in my opinion barely worth a 2 or 3. I never see any cities with 1 - 4 or 5 stars after voting, only 3 stars, which is strange. So how are the points given? Everyone stars from 3? That part is very unclear to me.
I would like to see more additional goals, and 100% happiness should be mandatory as well. I see a lot of unhappy sims I simply don't wanna give that a vote... they have other things on their mind than a 'nicely designed' city 🙂
Please fix the progressbar issue, because I miss the points from Wonderful Winterland
