Re: Knock out in wars

Sorry but, having a team with 10 or more players but only 3 plays wars is the problem that you have instead of the new knock out. Obviously you will have less results than an enemy where their 10 players do play war, seeing that only 3 of you fight, they do not care about the points and simply seek to knock them out. I understand that you want to play your way and perhaps not have as many players participating in wars, but you cannot expect optimal results in wars under that condition.

it’s not by choice only 3 play I have invited new cities and they have not accepted , I can’t chuck them out or I won’t be able to play war

and we are given only teams with 10 cities sometimes 12 mostly 10 , so we play every week and have a good score mostly  higher than the teams we play

most of the teams we play less than 50% participate

    your answer is invalid

it’s not all about massive teams it’s about fun and the knockout rule denies the many thousand smaller teams , of this I know BlaizinsZ because I’ve played literally hundreds of wars since it started and we always get 10-12 cities

and we only loose if we get an opposite continent! because we have to sleep

I read other posts and they have given great suggestions about improving the game overall

and they agree get rid of knockout rule

  • @starsks4  Perhaps the solution to your issue is to consider moving to a different club with the 2 folks that participate with you. Both @BlazinsZ and @Duckups have played for awhile and may can help with this exercise. Your other option is to seek a merger with another club or clubs...I’m currently trying to coordinate a merger of 2 clubs (not nearly as simple as it sounds - everybody wants to be Batman)  - neither club do I have any prior association with, just serving as a 3rd party facilitator. Your 3rd option is keep recruiting and hope you find someone that actually wants to play.

My suggestion is if interested send either of these guys a private message and discuss if they may have an opportunity in their club...or send me one (we’re not a war club) and I may be able to find you and your friends a home or perhaps work you into the current merger discussions. Good luck.

@PinnacleValley It's not only about numbers. If a team has 25 in one time zone they have to sleep and they can get knocked out while sleeping. I find that ridiculous and the answer should not be "well get a global team". What bothers me even more is the timer is not disabled at the end of the war. If you are up by 100K should you lose getting knocked out as time expires? I'm with @starsks4. This was not thought out well.
  • @StumpBros  You’re preaching to the choir and if you go back and read a bit you will learn I raised this concern during the 1st week of the knockout rule...I’m not the one that mentioned 3 active participants on a 10 member club - I simply offered @starsks4 options as he patiently waits for the proposed changes to occur. This was an unnecessary step designed to address the run & hide strategy which pretty much disappeared with the shield buster. I believe some folks have found limited success using the knockout rule against hackers but that certainly isn’t a solution and I agree it wasn’t very well thought out from the customer’s perspective.

We both know without proper planning a global team has no more advantage than a regional team...but whether there are 25 members or only 10 if you only have 3 participants you don’t have a chance...unless they’re all hackers which I obviously don’t believe is the case here. They have tried to recruit with limited success so I provided 3 distinct options for consideration.
