Same issue for me.  Happened to me while playing mid-game.  Towards the end of a war while also burning several cheetah tokens for CoM.  I’ve contacted support, no response yet after a few hours.  I’ve tried removing and reinstalling the app on my device, going through the tutorial and reconnecting my city via the Facebook backup.  No luck.  Same error.  Countless time and lots of real money riding on my long term play of the game.
