Looks like your having difficulty reaching your desired tier in Mayor’s Pass. I listed some tips you could try to increase your score.
1. Be prepared. During the 2 day breaks between contests, make sure you are producing items to have ready to make the next one easier. Depending on your storage capacity you could even have 5 or 10 of every item but just find an amount that works for your situation. I would recommend producing the most difficult and time consuming ones so you have those ready for the contest and will only need to produce easier ones during it. I definitely recommend doing this because it makes a world of difference between instantly having the resources to do a task vs. waiting hours for them to be ready.
2. Optimize tasks. When you first see your tasks identify which ones work for you. Ideally try and do as many high point tasks (1,500+) as possible but if you can’t use up all your tasks then move onto lower value ones as well. Also try to plan which tasks to do in order, so that you always have a task or preferably tasks that you are working towards. Make sure to utilize times when you are away from the game like sleep to produce items that take a long time to make like Electrical Components or other produce and collect tasks.
3. Make use of Streaks. Try and complete all your streaks because they give very lucrative bonus points upon completion. A tip is to purposely leave some undesirable tasks that you can’t/don’t want to do in your regular tasks list so that you can try and influence the streak to give you good ones. Occasionally you will need to spend some SimCash to complete a streak but as long as you can complete it and you don’t spend much it should be fine. Especially if you are in Megalopolis league which gives 25 SimCash for even the small prize. Besides it will pay for itself it you can reach the 1,400 SimCash at the end of Mayor’s Pass.
These are the tips I have for you. Hopefully you can use some of them to reach your desired tier. As for lowering the required points for Mayor’s Pass. Currently you need 611,000 points to reach the end which means you need 87,000 points per week and 174,000 on the double points week to reach tier 42. I think this is a good amount of points because some players can finish it within 3 weeks and a well prepared player can also reach it within 6.
