    Hi everyone,

Thanks for reporting this problem! Could you please try these steps?:

    For Android devices:

    1. Go to Settings > Display > Screen resolution
    2. Change resolution to WQHD (2560 x 1440)
    3. Then go to Settings > Apps > Google Play Storage > Clear Data and Clear Cache.

    For iOS devices:

Could you please check if the update is not showing in App Store > Updates?

If this doesn't work, please, let us know which device you are having issues with.

    Thanks for trying!

Thank you so much for this solution to the SimCity update problem, it worked. It even fixed my problem with Boom Beach LOL

Awesome! The cause is related to a security update in the device, that's why it might help with other apps as well.

Thanks for confirming it helped for you, @gansted! 🙂

This suggestion did not work for me. The game is now completely off my phone and I can't get it installed because it says my phone is incompatible

Thanks, and welcome to the forums!

I have a Samsung s7 I've had it for a year and I've been playing with this town for more than 2 years! I just want the problem to be fixed. It's not fair to lose a town you've worked on for that long over some glitch that no one seems to be taking the blame for. If this change to not allowing phone to be compatible anymore are because of the stupid Club Wars then get rid of it and make that it's own game. We were fine without it!

    That fixed it, thanks!

  • My galexy s7 first did this back in October. Tried contacting help and they gave me a canned response to try everything I already had tried (my message said I had x,y and z and they said yo try x,y and z. Useless). I have tried changing my resolution, clearing the cache and all that and it still doesn't work. Evetually I was able to find an older version and play a couple more weeks but it is doing the same thing again. Telling me I must update but the play store says it's not compatible. Again fiddled with my resoluation and cleared the cache then rebooted and again still not compatible. Its funny, I can play it on my old, clunky, outdated android tablet but not my 1 yr old phone.

I have been speaking to Skeeter on Facebook and have tried all suggestions. None have worked. I see that some began experiencing this a month ago, however this just began for me yesterday. I have uninstalled the app now when I search for the app , whether Internet on phone or in Google Play Store, it's not even listed in the search results. The only way I can now get to the screen that says "device not compatible" is by clicking "Play Game" in the Facebook page. This is very disappointing. Do you plan to fix this anytime soon? I haven a Samsung Galaxy S8, just purchased in May when the phone was only 1 month out on the market. Do we know why this is occurring? From reading one of the responses it seems like the phone settings are too advanced for the game? I don't understand.
