Re: Wealth Forecast - Luxurious

Tax revenues are not based on specializations or wealth. Just on population only. This is a mobile game. Algorithms are simple .

@darkamper- tax revenue IS based on specialization. Move a spec away from your population and watch your revenue drop. Its obvious. Its a combination of base population + specs.

I just put in 5 casinos and 2 ferris wheels. There was no noticeable increase in tax revenues, just from the population increase. My population went up 275,000. My taxes went up the standard amount with 100% happiness. I have 800,000 pop and get just over $20,000 in 24 hours. Also, I commented on your other thread about population caps.

Ive tested this before and I see big drops in revenue of anywhere up to 300 simoleons daily just by removing one spec building like the expo center out of a densely populated area. All specs together would account for a huge chunk of revenue according to what I see. I just demolished my city to work the exploit for a week or two so I cant give you exact figures from my end but I intend on testing this extensively as I rebuild.

Ok this big city demo turned out to be a good way to test this. So I have only one residence in the city right now but I still have all my service and spec coverage. I started the test with my house in a high spec area (covered by Empire State Building, gambling, entertainment, schools etc..) the population from one T1 house was 161 with daily revenue of 1254 simol. I moved the house to a zero coverage area and the population dropped to 52 and my revenue dropped to 1217 simol. This reflects a three percent drop in tax revenue. This is HUGE when compounding it city wide and especially when taking into account higher tier RZ. Also note that my happiness level did not decrease with the move. In fact, for some reason it went up shortly after the test.

If it is it would mimimal at best. Don't forget the devs want you to spend real money for sim cash and simoleons.

When you move that building, the population will also drop. Hence the tax loss.

I wouldnt call it minimal, i had done some rough calculations when my city was around 370 000 ppl. If I would have demolished all my specs my revenue would have dropped from about 18 000 simoleons to 12 000 simoleons daily. Thats a HUGE amount of money! Keep in mind I have extensive city wide coverage from a minimum of three specs on any given RZ.

Of course the population drops. But my point is that spec coverage affects tax revenue

Check the Stats thread. There is 1 city with 650246 pop. Tax is $19720.My population is 152,000 higher, my specialty services are substantially larger. Yet I'm getting less than $1000 more in taxes. 137 of 139 of my resident buildings are high wealth.

Yes thats CZs city hes actually a friend of mine on LINE app and hes been recently adding tons of specs, especially parks for this very reason so Im not sure how recent his data is there.

But if youre at 800 000+ population and only making around 20 000 simoleons daily then its sounds like you dont have much spec coverage. At my peak before I started destroying skyscrapers to get new ones and then for the exploit, I was just over 400 000 ppl earning 20 000 simoleons daily. But again I have very extensive coverage.

I will post my specs soon on that thread so you can compare. My spec services are bugged. Contacted Support, they said it was a display issue. As far as I am concerned, I am not getting the proper population boosts. Submitted another ticket on Sunday and they said that they would refer me to an expert. Haven't heard back since. Have already been lied to by support. Been playing since day 1 of soft launch. They changed service coverage. They told me they didn't, which is b.s, lost 60,000+ population and had to re jig police, health and fire.

I remember that patch when they changed service coverage and yea I was choked too..had to reorganize everything and I was around 200 000 ppl. Definetely sounds like you may have a bug. Ive heard others tell me that revenue doesnt change with spec boosts as well.
