Is there a way of searching your city for example, all London homes or all Parisian homes etc. ? Also can we place all items in storage until we rearrange our city

There's no simple way to identify RZs by type - you just need to know the styles and / or names to help differentiate them.
When rearranging a city you can place all your Specialisation buildings into storage, but not your services or residential zones. The usual approach is to store what you can, move everything into one part of the map - jam them in as tight as possible - and work on the free space. It's fine to have some RZs go read during this (roads, lack of service coverage etc) as they will go back to normal once connected back up. It can also be a good time to rationalise on how many RZs you want of different styles - you can always build them back up again after you reorganise.
Yes I agree however try this when doing your RZs. Put London together with a river separating it from paris area then use a lake to seperate from Tokyo. The effect looks good and mix in some parks etc.
