Simcity buildit a waste [Edit - Admin.].

All kidding aside, and I’m sure I’m offending no one; this game is a real waste of money. It’s not even a real game, just one to pass a brief moment in time every now and then. You can tell there wasn’t an extreme amount of effort put into its creation. The graphics aren’t great. Most of the buildings, especially the small ones, don’t look realistic (what’s with so many parking lots. Why are some of the windows so huge). Expanding is much harder than it should or could be. What happened to the creative aspect of designing a large city? It will cost you hundreds.

It’s a shame because I love Simcity and I would actually invest in it if it weren’t such a waste. Come on, who would spend $30 for a tiny basketball court.

This game is obviously a [Edit - Admin.] for the 1%. It’s hard to believe this game was made with any true passion and artistic drive other than for money. I keep trying to, because I want to like this game as there are aspects I enjoy.

My advice: save that money for a computer and play skylines.

  • Yeah, it’s a shame. For what it is it’s an enjoyable pass time. However, it puts most people at a disadvantage because most people will not spend $30 on a basketball court. A real simcity game made today could be incredible. I have a huge passion for large cities, skyscrapers and urban planning. Simcity has always been my favourite game. I keep my fingers crossed for the future.

  • By the way, for all the Simcity Buildit designers out there, if I’m wrong and you cared about this game, then I’m sorry.

I agree that this game is a waste of money. I still like playing it though. But based on how EA manage things, my advice is to stop paying money to people who don’t care about their customers.

Until EA finds a way to resolve the shield issue, legit gamers like us, who play fair and square, should not give a cent to support a system that is clearly putting us at a disadvantage.

And based on the low level of participation on these boards, it is clear that people are either losing interest in this game or they know posting on the boards is useless. No change will be made.

  • I've been playing this game for over 2 years now and didn't pay for the game at all! Mainly because it's insane expensive. Doesn't mean you can't have an awesome city though, just takes a lot more time and way better planning ahead.
I'm almost lvl 68, 2.35M people in my city, Capital as good as finished (maybe next year I get the 3rd Maxis Manor) except for some details like roads and other special buildings at some point. I have 3 regions unlocked with 600k people there. So yeah if you have patience and time, just keep playing for free (y)

I think you're in the wrong place, if you allow me to tell you that hehehe, Simcity is a game from Maxis, Maxis since the beginning has created games based on things not seriously ''real'' , and i love that,

the first game, Sims 1 (when EA was not even part), you saw Genius, ghosts... Makin Magic, Living Large expansions... In Simcity you always saw ovnis, robots attacking cities, LOL.

So, there is nothing real in a giant golem attacking another city, or a Plant Monster... Also the Omega is a faction about the ''Future'' always common in this Saga of Sims.

Anyway, if you can share a photo about those windows, because i saw many comments here about that, i'm curious, i didn't see nothing wrong, tbh i like a lot the regional buildings, especially Frosty Fjords buildings, and i'm paying attention to the buildings in my city and i see all normal, all good, so what are these giant windows that everyone talks about?

As far as I can agree, it's about expansion, it's extremely long, and also the rewarding system in war is so slow... 3000 coins, 2 gold keys, 1 freeze and 5 comics hands cards, that's all 😕 , that's the reward for 2 days playing a war, and you need 60 comics hand cards to advance next level (then you need, 80 cards? LOL, and there is a lot of disasters).

I agree with you, 100%. Particularly, regarding the slow crawl of land (and storage) expansion and the rewards for Club Wars. I don't mind trawling GTHQ for special items or doing intraclub trading to get what I need, but when they introduced the regional exports that insist on asking for Vu/Land/Storage/Airport items (and it's hard to ignore this CoM task when it can be as much as 2k+ plumbobs and it's nearly impossible to complete without using the exports now, thanks to the increase in the amount of regional simoleons for the task), that's when I'd had enough. Likewise, the rewards in the gold war chests are now so laughably bad that I don't even strive to make the gold chest anymore during wars. If i happen to get there because our club needed the points for a win, then so be it, but when I get things like Not in Kansas or gold coin simoleons in a gold chest in Arenas 4+5..?? C'mon, EA. you're slapping me in the face with that. I know that the rewarded chests are purposely less enticing than what you get buying particular card packs. I get that you want to monetize the game, and that's okay, but the stark differences between what I get putting in days of work in a war and what I get just by pressing a "buy" button are getting to be ridiculously polarized. It would go a long way if your game update devs tweaked that to be a bit more similar.

Also, y'all need to create a platinum chest and put a (temporary) shield-snapping boost in it. THAT would entice me to want to put 48hrs of my time into prepping for and engaging in war to earn 66K+ points, if something like that was on the table for a reward. Heh, who am I kidding? Until they address the still-rampant cheating/hacking going on in the game (looking at you, CoM and Club Wars), the rest of this is just academic.
