Simoleans And other questions

Hello all.  My name is Randy Martinez.  I have a question about the daily tax simoleans you get.

1.   I am at almost 900k in population yet I get the same every day.  More population should equal more money.  Why am I not getting a higher amount?

2.   Second, I was off line for about a week while on vacation.  When I came back to the game, I was fully expecting a huge windfall of m0ney, yet all there was is one day of simoleans.  Why is that?   The city continues to run in your absence.  A player should get all the tax money due to them whether actively playing the game or not.  Am I framing this the right way?  Is there something I need to change in settings?

3.  The blueprints side game frankly is a joke.  For example, the most recent one was for education.   Yet, some of the submissions seemed to have little to nothing for education in several of the cities.   There should be a requirement to have a certain amount of buildings directly related to the task at hand.   For example, for education, you should have to have a minimum of three educational buildings in your city.

Also, after many attempts I finally got to the llama level with speed up tokens.   But only one speed up token is a llama while the others continue to be turtles.  If you reach the llama all the tokens should be llamas at that point.

Finally, I am getting so damn frustrated with this game;  it’s unfair and the rules make no sense at all.   If things don’t change soon, I think I’m gonna checkout and find another game.   I am not liking it anymore for so many reasons it’s not funny!

Thanks all!

  • @jamesdad2013  I understand your frustration and I will try to provide insight to your concerns as best I can:

    1. Your theory is correct, but the increase in revenue is based on reaching certain milestones in population…as an example you may receive an increase when you reach the 1 million threshold but not at 999,999.

    2. The game is setup to start the 24 hour once you collect your taxes…I believe the purpose is to encourage participation which in turn promotes spending real money, after all it is a freemium game. Also, there are no taxes earned from the regions.

    3. I agree wholeheartedly…themes are often ignored. There is a minimum requirement of theme buildings to be able to submit - but the requirements are too minimal in my opinion. I won’t even get started on the voting process, although this week’s winner was deserving which is seldom the case.

    4. Each epic building is an individual contest and based on the individual’s efforts and investment of resources the level is earned and the building will always generate that level.

I share in your frustration with many aspects of this game and EA and their contractor need to pay attention to feedback from their customers. There are many aspects of the game that are enjoyable (most from the SimCity franchise) and I suggest you may want to find a helpful and encouraging mayor’s club and grow your city methodically and plan for growth and development. I wish you the best of luck and I hope you find an element of the game to enjoy.

Thanks for respondingI am hearing you right, you are not going to get any simoleans for your taxes unless you -lay the game every day?   See that pisses me off because certIN PORTIONS OF THE GAME CONTINUE TO RUN when you don’t play every day.

Aalso, did you see my question about the speed up tokens?   I have made the llama level several times, but only get one token while the turtle speed up is just everywhere.

    Thanks for everything.

    Hello @jamesdad2013

Yes, @PinnacleValley is correct. Taxes must be collected every 24 hours or they will be lost. They will not accumulate or "build up" after the 24 hours.

    Regarding speed-up tokens:

After you've completed your first Epic Projects and begin collecting speed-up token parts, you will need for an entire token:

    •Turtle - 3 parts (3 Turtle Epic buildings) for 1 token

    •Llama - 6 parts (6 Llama Epic buildings) for 1 token

    •Cheetah  - 9 parts (9 Cheetah Epic buildings) for 1 token.

After collecting, winning, or purchasing in NeoMall 250 of any one type, the amount of parts needed to make one of that token will increase by 1.

Example: After collecting 250 Llama tokens (or winning them) you will need to build a 7th Llama building because it will now require you collect 7 Llama token parts to make 1 token. After you collect 250 more Llama tokens, another Llama Epic will now be required because you'll need 8 Llama token parts to make 1 token.

Turtle and Cheetah tokens work the same.

The good news is the amount of token parts needed to make one token will max out!

    •Turtle - 15 parts max for 1 token

•Llama - 20 parts max to make one

     token

•Cheetah- 20 parts max to create

     1 token

Hang in there! In the long run, any frustrations you may be having now will be worth it.

As PinnacleValley always says, "It's a marathon, not a race".

Best of luck to you and enjoy the "ride" of the game.

    ✌

  • Hello,

I just wanted to point this out for the future. The main currency in the game is spelled Simoleons not Simoleans. It’s no big deal and I made the same mistake a while ago but just wanted to let you know.

    Hope you are having fun!

  • @hotdog9wiki  You’re right…it’s no big deal. It’s simply a 19th century currency that is pronounced the way it was spelled - check a reliable dictionary. Neither @never2old2game nor I had any problems understanding what was communicated and we willingly offered insight and tried to help…you didn’t have any problem either, but instead of offering assistance you make a big deal out of someone’s spelling error which more likely than not was caused by spell check. Quite frankly it was a bush league move - don’t be a wiener, be a frankenfurter…🎶 Let’s do the time warp again 🎶
Nuff said…southern for I’m outa here.

    Hello,

Sorry I didn’t mean to be rude or anything like that. I simply wanted to correct a spelling issue and I would appreciate it if others correct my spelling mistakes too. However now I can see how this might be more annoying than helpful to some people. I do want to try and help as many players as possible so from now on I will refrain from mentioning minor spelling issues and instead focus on the main issue.

    Thank you for tip.

Thanks for your response…but I am so lost!   I have a ton of bronze but is there a way to turn some of those to llamas.  Almost every building I have has the turtle.

  • I know but I -lay real late at night.  I just d9 t pay attention to it.   I think most if not all the good folk who play know what is going and what I mean.

  • @jamesdad2013  I certainly understand, that’s why I took exception to the “spelling” issue. People play when they can, everyone’s life is somewhat different and the challenges are never quite the same. As far as upgrading an epic building to the next level, you can’t. You have one window of opportunity to secure gold, silver, bronze, or no medal at all…just like the Olympics. I know it’s frustrating, but that’s how it works.

I’ve played since the beginning and my focus has been to have a balance between cheetahs and llamas and only took on the epic challenge when I had strong inventory levels and sufficient simoleons to reach my target. It’s all about planning and execution and willingness to grind it out. Unfortunately, you are where you are…my best advice is if you’re out of buildings tear down an epic bronze building and start over. Build a new residence and upgrade fully until it’s ready and then give it 30 days to accumulate resources and give it a go…you may not make it to cheetah, but you certainly can make it to llama. After all it’s a marathon and not a sprint which many folks can’t grasp that concept.
I recommend to be successful in your epic development, find a strong and supportive mayor’s club that will assist as best they can in achieving your goal…and in turn you assist them (as best you can in achieving theirs). The game becomes so much simpler and a lot more enjoyable…Good luck and enjoy the game.
