This may actually be the problem here. SimCity wants you to grant storage permission, yet you cannot.
I really hope a fix comes soon!
Best of luck to all of you.🙂
I would agree, except it has never ben an issue before AND Sim City works just fine on my iPhone. It's the same settings there as well, so there isn't anything different.
- @clintlb22 Exactly the same for me. No issues on my iphone

Okay, this is really the absolute only other thing I can think of: Are your phone and iPad automatically set to sync, or do you have to force sync them? It seems to me that if the game is running on your phone, you should be able to run SimCity, and all other apps and games, on your iPad if they are both logged in with the same Apple ID.
I could see how one might run into problems if they're trying to run two different cities on two separate devices that are logged in using the same Apple ID though.
Anyway, hopefully someone younger and/or more up-to-date on tech will jump in here.
✌🏻
I'm 100% certain it has nothing to do with our iPhones and iPads settings, sync settings, WiFi settings or whatever. I've been playing this game for over 5 years. Same city synched to my iPhone and iPad through the Game Center, and I was able to play on either device. And now all of a sudden my Mayor's Competition stopped working (the game keeps telling me I need to be online to do that), and after reinstalling the game on my iPad I can't even connect to my city (the game again is telling me I need to be online for that). All other game features (club chat, global market, etc.) are working just fine. There is just no other explanation besides the game issue on EA side.

I really do understand your frustration, and please don't think that I'm implying that this issue is the user's fault. I do however believe it is an iOS/SimCity BuildIt update compatibility issue.
All I was trying to do was some basic troubleshooting and share some very basic things that have worked in the past.
Please keep submitting those Requests through in-game support though, even if you've already submitted one.
@never2old2game Thank you for being so responsive and trying your best to help. We know you’re just trying to help.
for what it’s worth, I agree it’s gotta be something with iOS and maybe even with people who have their city on two different devices. And we all seem to have the issue in our iPads not iPhones. Which would tell me there’s something up with the code/configuration on the EA side. Nothing we’re going to be able to fix ourselves.
just my thoughts anyway

Thank you for your support, and you're welcome for my time and effort.
I do agree with you; This issue is not likely going to be solved, even temporarily, by the user.
I just hope EA will start paying attention to the most recent App Store reviews sooner than later. We are definitely not alone...
I finally managed to fix my game. Disabling iCloud Private Relay fixed all game glitches! It's a shame SimCity is not compatible with one of the most recent iOS feature, and their QA need to step up their game really.
