So...Leftover Seasonal Currency from Last season is now just gone?

I wasn't crazy about yet another currency being introduced in the COM, which makes up the bulk of the rewards.  And now, if you didn't spend it, it's just gone in the next season.   I used to buy the COM premium frequently, but I can't see myself ever doing that again.  And so many glitches and annoyances in the update.
