Well-said, Pinnacle. Can’t count on global market solely to get the rare stuff.
I used to complain about sugar and spices, burgers and fries flooding the global market. But now that I had gotten used to it, I actually don’t mind the predictability of global market since this means that I do not need to stock up on sugar (except when there’s no CoM), burgers, fries, etc. I definitely don’t want to produce burgers since it is not cost efficient to do so. So it’s good that I can easily buy them from market when I need them.
@J6niceL Hi J6, you’re absolutely correct...I do the same thing purchasing the less cost effective long run items that are predictably in the market. They come in handy when you get one of these “neighboring” city requests (only if the math works which you know in less than 5 seconds) and when you need something quickly to complete a CoM assignment they’re available. Sadly Sugar & Spice pops up a lot as an assignment and I sell the excess, but mine never sits, the reason is I sell it a price that represents value and turn my depot over. That’s really the problem with some players, they are so focused on the insignificant stuff and are missing out on a practical economic model that utilized correctly and understood could actually positively impact their real lives. Take care my friend.
