10 years ago1. Researchable extras. I'd like the university to be able to research extras for the services once you've purchased the top tier building for the service. For example, once you have the recycling centre and the university, you can research, say for $60,000 like the Vu Tower then you can recycle an item and its composite parts are then output so a burger can be recycled into a bun, a bbq and a burger. Or for the large fire, police and hospital buildings, research helicopters which will increase their coverage.
2. Upgradable speciality buildings. Related to #1 above but this is really targeted at gambling. The towers are really small so you cannot really see them amongst luxury towers. So I'd want to pay to make entertaining HQ, gambling HQ and the gambling towers so that they'd be the same height as the luxury skyscrapers. And perhaps increases coverage options.
3. Cargo/Air. I'd like to know how many items I need to acquire in the order rather than just what they are. I don't want to plan for 2 tables and it wants 6.
4. Residences. I'd like a preview of what the building is going to be like, an option to redraw the upgrade plans to a difference building, and an option to change the colour of the building. Additionally, I agree with others about wanting to not have to upgrade to skyscrapers. Perhaps multiple upgrade avenues: Skyscraper, Tower, Estate? Also, I'd like to see stats of the amount a building is being enhanced by and what service. I want to know how near to the max I am from all specialities.
5. Global HQ. I appreciate the underlying reasons for the way it is, primarily to prevent abuse of those who have more cash, coins or levels. However, I'd like to see more items appear in the listings and mini-thumbnails under the main item for other items that are available I'm that city. Less frustration checking other cities although adding of gifts was a hugely beneficial change so I do love that.
6. Storage. I like the ideas above about hanging separate sections for expansion and storage upgrade options. I'd also like to see demand stats for those in storage. If I need 10 seeds directly, or indirectly, I'd like to see that I'm the storage. Naturally, the interface would need to be wider to make this information more accessible. On the same token, the as, the same data on the upgrade bubbles.
7. Roads. I love avenues and boulevards but streetcars just doesn't look as good. I'd like two final upgrade options, streetcars or subways, so the nice tree on top and stations for underground access. Roundabouts! Make intersections more interesting, European style. What about flyovers or bridges?
8. Trade Depot. Private mode for friends. Be able to change pricing after 5 mins - if nots selling, it would be nice to discount it. Be able to retrieve the item after a while.
9. Transport. Like to see helicopter etc.. Every now and then. And transport should reduce traffic burden on roads by a fair amount.
10. More services. Legal (courts, attorney office). Finance (bank, stock exchange). Telecoms (cell towers).
11. More for current services. Hydro electric power. Water reservoir. Residential home. Bigger parks and landscaping such as lakes and forests. Some of the untouched landscaping looks really good then it gets lost when you build. A tower version of a university.
12. More landmarks.
13. Events. Entertainment should have events that provide coins, cash and / or keys like air and ship cargo. Could apply to gambling as well such as poker tournaments. Maybe tours for landmarks as well? More ways to earn keys that are fun, especially if there are graphical responses like watching a play at the amphitheater.
14. Production. An ability to cancel items, reorder items and upgrade factories without bulldozing.

I appreciate a lot of these are repeats but wanted to list everything. Also, I appreciate the model of these freemium games is that you have to wait or pay. And my suggestions above, predominantly follow that model: requiring cash, coins or keys to do those changes. I actually like the pace of the game as if means that you can play for months and months and not get bored, and so long as there are upgrades and updates, I'll keep playing for months and months. I typically pay for in-app purchases to a total amount id expect for a game up front. I'd love for it to be faster paced and not requiring money, and id love to pay a full amount for a game like that, but I know it isn't going to happen. However, I wouldn't mind paying for options to speed things up from time to time. The town hall doesn't really do anything, so why not use it to facilitate city procedure of faster production. Pay 10 sim cash for 24hr of 10x pace for production, air and ship. Just an example. Or even further. Pay cash for a longer period of "procurement of efficient resources". It's about making money, so perhaps a middle ground between paying small amounts and those who can leverage more real money than most.
I love this game so looking forward to further updates and ideas!
