There is no possible way to get dozer blades

I'm at level twenty and they never ever appear any more ever. My city is crammed I couldn't fit in anything else if I wanted because I can't expand. I'm not paying money to play this game which was clearly a scam from the start. No one sells these blades in the market and if they do, they are gone by the time I get there. It seems around level twenty they really start forcing you to pay. This game is a rip off and I'm just about to delete since all I get now are stupid batteries for a building I can't even build yet. Crappy game is crappy.

""I "read" on one of these threads back in the late winter of this year, February/March that one player theorized this game has "filters". I suppose he meant if you are looking for a certain item; the game call figure that out and then deny you the chance at obtaining them."

This is the reason why i would never spend 1 cent for this greedy * of a company. If anything there should be a filter that HELPS player obtain items they need, not deny.

But it appears that these game companies fail to understand that pissing off their players is a poor business model.

Hope north korea hacks the hell out of EA like they did with sony.

  • to continue......

When I said "in a day" I meant in a couple of hours or less.

I am at level 41 with my city and still obtaining items needed for city and storage expansion. Just last night in the "one hour" that I played the game I had the ability to purchase 4 dozer blades. I bought two dozer blades just to see if I could then re-sold them on the market. Two days ago I upgraded the city storage to "220" by purchasing the four items needed at the GTHQ's.

All I was trying to say; given the problem with the GTHQ's, is to be persistent. With out being offending here - what I do see - is a lot of players want to get to the finish line as fast as they can, patience is a virtue. The ideals that I have with each of my two cities is to maintain a slow, steady, well planned path for growth. I mentioned this in a post six-seven months ago........ The original author of SimCity; Will Wright had the inspiration to see urban planning and development at a level that most of our own leaders in the real world do not adhere to today. I try to follow Will Wright's game plan. Look ahead, build roads, develop city services up, stay ahead of your population.

Am I being just plain old ignorant or supporting EA's position on its ideals of tying the hands of players ability to grow their city? Not really - my cities (without hacks) are doing just fine. The city that I started first is at level 41, with 618,344 citizens, 3547 Simcash, and over 6 million Simoleans. I have expanded the city to within 5 expansions of being totally completed, that includes the beach area as well. Most of my city achievements have already been completed or are near that completion level. 99 percent of my Sims are happy. In fact I do applaud EA for thinking about the games' expansion. Tokyo, Paris towns, beach, Halloween Parks. Keep it coming EA if you want your players to stay interested.

Can the GTHQ's be better for all of us? That  goes without saying. But even from Will Wright's perspective; I don't think his intentions were to get the that finish line within a couple of weeks of playing the game. What would you do after that?

I'm on level 48 and had no problem getting all the parts I needed to complete all stages. I still get heaps of Dozer blades etc and can't use them. My problem is that I am on level 16 of Vu's tower and can no longer get any remotes to continue. It's been about 3 weeks now and I have 1 only.

does anyone know if they are going to extend the area of the city thou? Could do with some more space too.

    Tis true,

I just went past level 50 with 6 zones still to activate, haven't had a single expansion related special item in over a month now. Global Trade is a joke when it comes to most things unless you want a TV, a sofa or a watch. Forget trade specials unless you have a quantum computer and the reflexes of a Harrier pilot. The hackers have this game sown up, and I'm so cynical as to the nature of the producers trying to monetise this game, I'm becoming increasingly convince the hackers work for EA.

After over a year of twiddling with this great, addictive game on trains, plains and when bored in meetings....I'm back to Football manager.

Sim City has become in-completable, "pay to win" grinding nonsense...never been so disappointed with a games house as I am when I see what EA have done to this MAXIS legend.

Its like this: you start playing and like it so you pay some money. maybe you spend some more. then you hit your limit and don't spend anymore. You probably paid a fair price already. And You see the game doesn't have that much variety, just random variations on a theme and thinking to yourself, who needs cheese to build a house?

Those lucky dip items are always way short on one of them after a while, so its clear its not totally random ;-). And why so difficult to set a sale price except default and max? And and and.....you play anyway because it does look nice and you feel you made the city. But you don't pay, you know it makes no real difference, paying and playing differ by only one letter....from the view of the makers of the game, you are taking resources away from paying newbies. You can stop playing now, its never going to change anyway.

I am level 18. My storage is maxed at 500. My beach expansion has been completed. All my available land has been unlocked. My VU tower is at lvl 15.

With some patience you can do it all without parting with your hard earned cash. I get expansion items every day which I sell off in the global HQ or to my neighbours.

I could buy lots more. How? In HQ I click on many items I do not want or need to check what else is for sale, as often their non advertised sale items are the more interesting ones to me.

Just don't give up and arm yourself with some patience.

The true purpose of this game is to make money for EA.   If you cannot find what you need you can buy it using SimCash.   Simcash is hard to come by in the game.  So if you are frustrated enough you will spend REAL MONEY to buy SimCash to buy stuff.

However,  if you use a ZEN approach and decide the game is to spend wasted time then you can have the patience to wait out EA and get your stuff from the Market or from clicking on Sims opinions.   (I have gotten 12 items 2 days ago and 11 yesterday from clicking on Opinions at level 43)
