Thoughts on game improvement
I have seen posts concerning ways to make the game more enjoyable. My perspective comes from more than the visuals and additions, it's related to the ethics, or lack there of, in the gaming world. Most big PC games have a little less issues with this because they maintain there servers better and people who online game in mainframe don't complain too much about a small subscription fee per month...about 10-15 bucks US. This game can be improved , in my humble opinion by......
1. If there is a great deal of hacking, better security measures. To hackers out there, nasty viruses live in hacks and if you get one don't cry to support , you're in for a real treat. Take it from the spouse of an IT specialist with a CISSP and works in security in the financial arena affiliated with the FBI.
2. No feeder cities. Play your one city and be happy with that. This isn't real money, a real city, or real significance for your accomplishments. It's a game, that's all.
3. Social mediums, like Facebook should not be leveraged as a means to make friends etc. Facebook is gobbling up everything. In game communications are much more appropriate. Not everyone endorses or use those means. Once Facebook gets your info, they do lots of fun stuff with it and frankly I don't want to know other gamers but so well and I certainly don't want them knowing my personal information . The internet is no safer than a dark alley late at night in a bad neighborhood, and its virtuality is the great deception that cloaks the danger. If enough people quit using it in games, guess what, games won't use it.
4. Improved game support. I have an epic cheetah building spinning the laughable fraction of a token and I haven't been able to claim it because it just doesn't work and it's not the first time I have token issues but it will be my last. Support has failed after repeated notifications. And that fraction poop is a joke. I might do a Llama level but to game hard for a cheetah you might be lucky to get a full token a month. I'd rather enjoy gaming another way than that.
5. I personally don't mind modest monthly subscriptions for full game access but obviously others think that it doesn't cost anything to maintain, develope and continually support a game, so if it says for free they should play for free. I say, no free play, or very limited abilities to free play, like you can't join the mayors contest or earn rewards from the mayor, etc. Do away with using cash as a means to acquire special items, if you subscribe and earn the keys through game play, everything is open to those who subscribe. Of course, they make more short term money with in app purchases but they don't retain a steady flow of long timers with a fairly reliable income. The few that go hog wild and spend a bunch of cash on the app, you're paying for the free loaders and this isn't even a PC game..lol..it's an app!.
I think many of the ideas about visuals, things to do, etc expressed by others are wonderful but the gaming core is where the worm in the apple is. Others may really be upset about these suggestions "But frankly dear, I don't give a d@^^!" Believe it or not I gnome a little bit about the gaming world. 😉
Enjoy your gaming experience,
