Unable to update to join in with war
I’m a regular daily player and to enable me to play war game I need to update and I’ve tried to do this but no update button. Please help me solve this problem

I went to go into the new war and got a message saying that I need to update first. I went to the App Store to update and it says that I am updated already. Which I am not. Went back still cannot enter the war? Not sure what to do now?

Are you all playing on iOS? If you haven't yet, please, go to App Store > Updates tab and scroll down to make App Store search for updates for you.
App Store doesn't constantly look for updates but if you ask to update that section, it will check for updates then 🙂
Please, let us know if that doesn't help!

I tried, it is still not working for me either !
- Doesn’t help me I’m on a iPhone 6
- It worked just fine on my iPhone 7 but my I pad still reads I have the updated version 1.21.2 but still unable to enter the wars. My team needs me! Lol

No. It does not work.
I’m checking about once an hour and still unable to join war, still says update needed using the war star menu. Have done the app search each time, still showing updated version 1.21.2 as recently updated. Using iPad and iOS is current. Thanks for troubleshooting.
I am having the same issue with my iPad. My iPhone took some time but it finally updated.
That doesn’t work, no update availabe
Back up city, delete app, reinstall even though it doesn't say "Update Available"
Does not help. iPad. Still unable to download update.
Just wondering if there is any new information about the update fix. I still am not given an option to update. I been checking back all day. My club is at war, but I am not able to participate. I am still on the older version of the game and also use an iPad. I am reluctant to delete and reload as others have suggested. I am afraid of losing everything.

If your progress is saved you shouldn't have any issues: https://help.ea.com/en-sg/help/simcity/simcity-buildit/save-your-city-and-progress-in-simcity-buildit/
If you have two devices, you can install SimCity in the second one to double check the data was uploaded to Facebook, Game Center or Google Play correctly.
Is anyone still not getting the update on the App Store now?
