I too think that shields should slowly go away. Most clubs are not that active and have members from around the world. Coordinating a start time is difficult. I like having people's in different home zones cuz they can keep the war active while some sleep.
But this bs of getting a small lead, then team is shielded for most of the war ruins it.

@swingingdown Seriously, you should not shield them. With that said develop a strategy that gets you in the lead at the beginning.
