The best trading system is the one found in guild wars 2 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VIwu6f3QCAw) starting at 2:50 in the video. And EVE (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2-9nhCCScIw) starting at 1:50 in the video. Between the two, EVEs UI is more complex from what I see. I personally haven't played EVE but it's system appears to have the same core design concept as guild wars 2. Which I think GW2 UI would be a better starting point for concidering how to make a better system and UI for SC. Obviously since it can be played on phones too you can't have a lot of info shown all in one panel. These stock market like systems do very well at reflecting what fair market values of items are based on supply and demand of those items. The prices rise and fall over short and long terms and it is quite amazing how well they work for both buyers and sellers in buying and selling the stuff they want.
This is horrendous, I am prepared to pay top dollar for what I need but EVERYTIME I tap the item I need it is gone by the time I (needlessly) travel to the persons city. Its too much now, I am playing less and less. Another week of not being able to buy what I want and I cannot see myself being bothered to play anymore.
