This is like one of pics “the longer you look, the worse it gets.” The more I look at this update situation, the worse it gets.
So, on the arrow that you have to hit to expand to the second row of buttons, a little red dot appears when something within the submenu wants your attention. The design challenge (gets sent down there on 11” iPads) will cause a red bubble on the arrow, and so will the war button for the entirety of the war/monster presence when you have attacks to throw. This gave me a bit of hope that as long as there’s nothing else going on, that little red bubble will at least let me know that there’s a chat message.
Nope! It will alert you for all kinds of useless crap, but absolutely refuses to let you know there’s a chat message.
Wth.
@trebor8827 They certainly could have programmed the red notification button for new chats. Total fail.
