Hi @1901-154 - Are you saying that you can choose a higher resolution but you have to select it each time you enter the game? If it plays well in the higher resolution but you don't want to keep selecting it each time you enter the game, you can set the display in Origin to always start in the same resolution.
In Origin, right-click the SimCity icon and choose "Game Properties" > click the "Advanced Launch Options" tab > type "-r:1920x1080" (without the quotation marks) in the "Command Line Arguments" box. Match the resolution to the current display settings on your monitor, using the format "-r:HHHHxRRRR" For instance, -r:2560x1440 -r:1920x1080 -r:1600x900
SimCity was built several years ago, and so there can be challenges getting it to recognize newer graphics cards or Ultra High Def. This launch option will force the game to start in the resolution you enter.
If you still have the problem, please reply back with a copy of your dxdiag.
To post your DxDiag:
1. Select the 'Choose file' button below the post box
2. Find the DxDiag file and select it - hit Open
3. Add text to your post and hit Submit
Happy building!

How can I do that with the Mac App Store version of SimCity? I have an M1 computer and unfortunately I cannot run the Origin version because that's 32-bit only (!!?!??) and macOS can only run 64-bit programs as of now.
