Well it's nice to know that I'm not the only one having this problem! Mine was not quite as catastrophic, but I spent two hours playing this afternoon... and then had this suddenly pop up. I lost everything that I had done today. What a waste of a beautiful Sunday. I'm not very happy right now, especially because I thought that after sitting for 20 minutes waiting for the new patch to download and update, that the problems would be solved.
Apparently not!
I played a bit when it came out, and then didn't play for a month because it was so buggy. I gave it the chance now that I heard about this update, and THIS happens. The game is unplayable, and I can't believe I spent $80 on it.
Mine is doing this now too, have you put any mods into the data files?
I only ever started to get the issue when I put mod packages into the directory. Or perhaps a coincident. Either way it's rediculoussly frustrating. There's only so many times one can build the same city over....
