How can I still play an old game?

I have SimCity 4 Deluxe edition which I bought many years ago on cd-rom. 

But my new laptop does not have a cd-reader anymore... 

How can I still play this game?

I already tried to redeem the product code in my EA profile but nothing happened (it mentioned I did something wrong but I put in the right code from the booklet).
