I agree. My son and I enjoyed SimCity 4 a lot. I upraded to Windows 10 and it wouldn't work. So we bought the newest SimCity offered at WalMart. We inserted the disk, clicked install, and the only thing that happened was an Origin Window opened up. From there it appeared we could only buy games, etc. We wondered were the game was we bought? It was nowhere to be found. We went into file explorer, tried to open the Zip file and....I could tell you all the step we tried to take, but the point is it didn't open anywhere. One should be able to just insert the disk, follow on screen instructions, and within minutes, be able to play the game I paid for. Done. That's it! That is not possible, and so my son and I have a very negative view of EA, Origin, etc. because of this non-user friendly business. I'll not get my 20 bucks back, and frankly I don't care because I don't want to spend another second on this.
If you want to install your game using a disc make sure that your game is registered first. After that, follow our instructions to start the disc installation--if you run into troubles, please select Go Offline from the Origin menu. If the disc won't read, try a clean boot.
