Can't speak for @lianm18 but I'm having this the same issue with MacOS 10.15.5. Game does download but won't actually install because it's stuck in finalizing mode. Ive dumped the Origin client cache and reinstalled the client already with no success. I've run the troubleshooting script and all it logged was this.
ProductName: Mac OS XProductVersion: 10.15.5BuildVersion: 19F101- Then it's not possible to use this game, @L0b0tc2dfw. Because, with version 10.15.x Catalina, there's no support anymore to run 32 bit software. This 'a 64 bit software only'-operation system version. Apple made this decision.
If you want to play SimCity (from 2013), you should use an older version, or use a PC, of course. Or, when both options doesn't suit you, try for a refund: https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/account/returns-and-cancellations/
