If you want to play in single mode while we wait on the fix just turn off you internet connection and restart the game.

@TBones54 Thank you does in fact work. Not a good permanent solution but does work. So after playing for awhile, what are the benefits of playing online?

    I only play online since I reclaim abandoned cities--the more broken the better--and turn them around, trying to follow my predecessor's intent. Otherwise, there are better city-builders.
