SimCity freezing on launch

I recently purchased SimCity through Origin, and when I go to launch, it freezes either on the logo swirling, or when I select start game. Please if anyone can help. New laptop through Dell

I'm having this same issue. Never had this issue on my old laptop, or when Origin was a thing.

The new EA is giving me this issue I suspect? I have TS4 downloaded from origin and it works fine - it's still in there. I tried to download Simcity on the origin games folder, but this didn't do anything.

Please help
