Yeah I basically have given up also. I dont really ever expect there to be a fix for this. But I cant lie, I do keep a small part of my heart open wishing I could play this game. It really sucks to see a major gaming company **bleep**ting on their customers like this. Back in they day the gaming community to include the companies were pretty tight knot and cared about each other. Now a days they are too big to care at all about it. I just read that they sold a million copies and its disappointing that there is so much money and support for them and virtually nothing in return!
lol Gamestop replied and denied me a refind but was all like IF YEW WUNT YEW CAN TWADE EN ZE GAYM... You can't trade in PC games Heh.

This started happening to me two days ago. I initially thought it was the computer, but after two days of troubleshooting I have eliminated all other problems. In fact I can play any other game for hours at a time with no problems, but as soon as I load a city in SimCity the computer shuts off.

Comeeee onnnnnn Maxis/EA, this is bull**bleep**. I haven't touched the game in weeks, hoping that it would be fixed by now. But no. I scored a whole 7 minutes of play time before it crashed again this morning. I don't want some crappy free game (that by the way I still haven't even played) BECAUSE I WANT TO PLAY SIM CITY 5.
I am so super sad.
