I decided to reinstall Sim City after a 2-year long break, and I have this huge issue with the terrain in all regions available in the game. http://imgur.com/LL0xcEp The terrain is pretty much FUBAR, and this is not just a graphical issue: The weird slopes on the terrain affect road, zone, and building placement as well. I have tried reinstalling the game, repairing the game through Origin and it doesn't solve the issue. My specs are: Windows 7 64-bit CPU: Intel Core I7 2.93 GHz GPU: AMD Radeon R9 270x I have the latest GPU drivers.

That is very odd. Never seen quite something like this. You don't have any terrain mods on your game or such ? Those would sometimes cause weird elevation issues but never seen something like this.

No, never installed any terrain mods (didn't even know mods existed for Sim City).
This issue is present after I reinstalled Sim City from a 2-year-long break. In the past I never experienced anything like this.

Same thing tonight logged in after a long time. I've reinstalled, turned off av and malware protection. Told me to update when I started it then there was a message about an issue with origin and asked to restart. Did that then it hung trying to load a region and this issue with terrain. No mods etc here, Ive tried multiplayer to see if it would make a difference and nothing

Pretty crazy alright. I was thinking, I wonder how SimCity random generates these maps ? Like, many games use something like a server clock to generate them. EA's servers have been rather shaky the last few days, I wonder if it would've broken the random generation ?
So just to make sure, deleting the game and installing completely again did not fix this issue in any way ?

Was onto EA they've advanced it up to the specialist team. The issue seems to be with the display drivers, I went back to driver non-whql-win7-64bit-radeon-software-crimson-16.9.2-sep16 and its working fine for me. Newer drivers might work so if they do post it up Hopefully EA will get this sorted

@KasperFlambios Hey, it looks like a graphics card driver issue. Can you try updating your drivers?

Also if you play on a laptop with a switchable graphics card, please ensure that the main card is being used.
