Do they ever update the game in the playtest?

I love the playtest but I feel like content is extremely limited and the daily sessions just get rotated out and are the same over and over. Plus there's tons of untextured models and half the map is deserted. Like I get it's an alpha but do they have any plans to add more stuff before release?
