Error Code 480232561 PS5

Hi,

I've got the code for the playtest on March 12th and I couldn't get in the game at all. The error 480232561 keeps popping up after pressing "Start". I've spoken to 10 (?) EA Agents and all of them said that they cannot do anything about my situation. What I've tried so far:

  • reinstalled the game multiple times
  • checked my internet connection
  • tried both wired and wireless connection
  • cleared the PS5 cache
  • rebuilt the database
  • factory resetted the PS5
  • checked multiple times that the correct PSN ID is linked to the correct EA account (opened an incognito window and logged in to my EA account using the Playstation button)
  • checked that the EA account that is linked to my PSN ID is the same one as the one i've received the invitation code for the playtest
  • unlinked and re-linked my PSN account

I'm honestly at a loss about what to try next. Any EA employee around here that can take a look at my case? I can provide any info necessary over e-mail/private message.

    What?! That's crazy. Unless it's some kind of limitation from Sony/PSN, I don't see why it can't be done.

    Ahh yes, done that too, you know what the EA support rep. said? No one - NO ONE - in EA can lift the unlinking restriction which is such a lousy excuse- it is a friggin software feature. They’re just unwilling to help.

    That sucks...maybe speaking with an EA agent can help you unlink the PSN? Worth a try. I've checked multiple times and the EA account that is linked to my PSN is the correct one.

    They don’t help with this, they’ve started a thread on the matter and have done nothing since. I experienced the same issue but I actually had the right psn linked to the wrong ea account but they’ve put a restriction on me for unlinking and now I have to sit and wait for half a year 👍🏻🥲 Make sure not to unlink the psn again or they’ll restrict you just the same…

    I have been dealing with the same **bleep** for a week now, no one has any idea what to do it’s driving me crazyyyyy!!!

    I usually get it on Xbox series x my first login and I go to home menu and press start, quit and then try it again and it works after that. I know you probably tried this, but if not I hope it helps. Hope to see ya in the streets, shredder!
