My friend got a confirmation email but didn’t get the game

Last week my friend received the email saying he has been accepted to the skate.  playtest and will receive the download instructions on the 11th. I also received this email, and today I got my email with the instructions, but my friend did not. I saw other people had this issue, but despite not getting the email, the game appeared in their EA library. This did not happen for my friend either. Are they rolling out the emails, or did he just not get in? Maybe bugged?
