my game is broken after finishing the initial tutorial.

when i skate up to the purple marker in front of the skateshop and hold Y, the pause menu opens up and im unable to do anything but continue back to free skate. at the top right of my screen is says "visit the skateshop" but im given one chance to do so and after the purple marker goes away i have to restart the game, an the same issue repeats.  ive reinstalled, repaired game files, restarted the ea app and my computer and absolutely nothing will fix it.
