Party System Not Working

Me and a friend are currently playing the skate beta (both playing with PC through the EA launcher) and every time we join each other's party, nothing happens. The games acknowledges that we are in a party, but neither of us are visible on the map or even in the same server. The first day of testing, this feature worked flawlessly, but for some reason from day 2 and on, this issue has persisted. We have double checked all online and party settings, both restarted the game multiple times, to no avail.
