When I press the menu button, I want it to close the menu instantly.

Right now, it’s annoying that I have to press the B button several times just to cancel and close the menu screen.
The same button used to open the menu should also close it in one press.

This is such a basic feature, yet so many careless developers fail to implement it properly, which is really frustrating.
