Wired Nintendo Switch controller for PC doesnt work

I wish I could change the key layout, even for keyboard.  The Switch controller will not let me drag my right joystick down, A is really R2, B is really L1 etc...  So I tried on keyboard and the mouse movement is so janky it doesn't read properly... though it is a logitech hero.

I tried running the game through steam to force keybinds for my controller, doesn't work still.  Any ideas?
