Gone Viral Trophy on Skate 3 PS3

It's been escalated to a Sr. Software Engineer who is investigating. 

I don't have an ETA to share. 

There's the potential it may not be something that could be fixed, but as soon as we have any info to share, we will. A note about Achievements/Trophies: The game sets the parameters, but the console provides the framework for displaying and tracking these accomplishments. 

(Marking as a solution so it maintains visibility, and will update with anything I find out.) 

UPDATE 1: Checking in again on what's going on. It's very odd that this one achievement got borked. I'm hoping to have an update (cause, potential fix) next week, but I'll keep my ear to the ground so we can share info as we get it.

UPDATE 2:  EDITED Team is still investigating if there's a flag issue that's not triggering the Trophy when the task is completed. 

UPDATE 3: Team is still working to identify the root cause and a possible solution. Unfortunately, at this time we don't have any new info to share. 

UPDATE 4:  Team has escalated to Sony for investigation as of last week, but we do not have an update or ETA. Will follow up with an update next week (or when I have one), whichever comes first. 

UPDATE 5 (Sept 5, 2025) : No new info or status to share today. Will check back with our engineers next week and will try to update before next Thursday with any news I get (or at least an update if there's no news) as I'll be out from Sept 11-14.

UPDATE 7 (Oct 1, 2025): Apologies for missing a week. Chatted with our engineer folks and they're still working with our 1st party partners to identify where the issue is to get a fix. No ETA on this.

UPDATE 9 (Oct 15, 2025): No update this week to share. 

UPDATE 10 (Oct 24, 2025): No update this week to share. Will reheat the discussion (been a little busy with skate. and patches and stuff, but it's on my list of things for next week). 

UPDATE 11 (Nov 17, 2025): Unfortunately, we have no updates to share at this time, but have been checking in for updates from our platform partner.  To avoid missing a weekly update (like the ones above - apologies), will continue work to share a status check as soon as we have one to share. 

UPDATE 2/19/2026: The group working on the Trophy issue (PS3 specific, as we've confirmed the Achievement works on Xbox platform) are continuing to work out why the Trophy is not popping. They've pulled out some old PS3s and have tested it multiple times - and it does not pop (we all knew this).  They're continuing to work with our 1st party partners to identify why the trophy stopped working and are looking for a solution. As noted in the outset of the reply/status update:
