- My origins is connected to my gamer tag for sure. Did it back for battlefield 3 and I downloaded that share thing, cleared the system Cache. Still will not connect
Yeah same deal, went from working fine, to not being able to connect for about a week or so.
Spends about 30 seconds trying to connect to EA Nation then gives the error - "The EA server is not available at this time. Please try again later."
Nothing changed on my side, downloaded share pack, cleared cache, no go.

Try reinstalling the Skate Share Pack.
For the Xbox 360:
- Start your Xbox 360 system
- Sign into the Xbox Live account that originally downloaded the Online Pass (Skate Share Pack)
- Press the 'Guide' button in the top-middle center of your Xbox 360 Controller
- Navigate to the 'Settings' Menu
- Select 'Account Management'
- Select 'Download History'
- Locate the entry for the Online Pass you wish to re-download
- Choose to download the Online Pass again
NOTE: If you still continue to experience an issue after working through these steps, you may need to uninstall all non-save game content related to the game in question. Once this is done, re-attempting these steps should help fix the issue.
Thanks for that Najat.
So last night I checked my download history and upon thurough inspection determined that I have never previously downloaded the share pack. So I went to the Skate 3 extras secion and downloaded it, then cleared my cache and still received the same error when attempting to connect to EA Nation.
I am confused about the mods here consistently pointing to the Share Pack as being the issue when the Share Pack was not previously required to log into EA Nation, can you confirm that it is now a requirement for online play?
I had not played in over a year I think, then started playing a couple of weeks ago and everything was fine, then EA Nation connection stopped working and hasn't worked since.
Edit: it's now resolved. Uncertain how or why as I haven't done any troubleshooting since I tested it yesterday, but my Skate 3 client is now connecting to EA Nation.

Glad to hear your issue is resolved.
To answer your question, yes, the share pack is required if you want to play Online, basically the share pack is the Online pass for skate 3.Here is a clarification about the Online Pass:
What was the EA Online Pass?
Online Pass was a unique, one-time-use code included with new EA games that allowed EA players to access online features. If the game was not purchased new, the online pass code might have been used already and the player would need to purchase a new Online Pass.
Do I still need an Online Pass to play multiplayer games online?
For new EA titles, Online Pass will no longer be needed or included. Additionally, we are in the process of eliminating Online Pass requirements from existing EA games. This process will take several weeks. For some games, the prompt to enter an Online Pass code will no longer appear; for others, you will still need to download and install an Online Pass, but they will be available free of charge from the Xbox LIVE Marketplace or PlayStation Store. It's definitely a bit unstable, after being able to connect a few nights ago, last night I was again unable to connect with the exact same symptoms. And yet tonight I am able to connect first go, no issues. So, while it could be anything I wouldn't be suprised if it's a DNS/routing issue.
