Skate 3 EA server not available PS3

Hello

I can not connect to the EA servers on skate 3 (PS3). This happens whenever I try to connect to:

- Online challenge map

- skate.Profile 

- skate.Reel

- skate.Park

- skate community

- anything that requires online access 

Whenever the connection fails, I get a message saying "The EA server is not available at this time. Please try again later."

This is a recent issue as I did not experience anything earlier this week. What is causing this error?
