So you did not link your GamerTag to your Origin Account, this is the reason why you can't play online.
No worries that can be fixed quite easily.

Basically, the email address for your Xbox Live Account and Origin account should be the same to be linked automatically. If it matches, all you need to do is sign into your game on PSN or Xbox Live. Origin will match up your email addresses and take care of the rest.
If your Origin Account email address doesn't match your PSN or Xbox email, you can connect them using the steps below:
- Open the Origin client and click the Friends button, then Add a Friend. If you do not have the Origin client installed, you can download Origin for both PC and Mac.
- In the Import Friends menu, you can choose to "connect" your Xbox LIVE, PSN, and EA accounts. Simply sign in with your account details to connect.
If you have issues connecting your account, you will need to properly link them by contacting an EA Advisor.
You can check which accounts are linked to your Origin Account by logging in to the Origin client.
- Login to the Origin client and click “Account and Privacy", located under the Origin option on the menu bar.
- In the “About Me” tag, under “Connected Accounts,” you can see which accounts are linked to your Origin account.
To remove a connected account from your Origin Account, simply contact an EA Advisor who will be happy to help.
