I applaud you trying but it's not gonna happen. EA's Instagram, Facebook and Twitter comments are 99% calls for Skate 4. Every picture, every post, every tweet, no matter what they are actually about. EA is very aware that people want the game and that with THPS being the joke that it is that they'd have the market cornered but they don't want to make it. It's taken them almost/over a year to get Skate 3 out for backwards compatibility and they haven't even gotten that done yet.
I can't fathom why they don't want to make it, every game in that franchise sold big numbers. And I don't mean to burst your bubble, just being realistic about what the response from EA, if any, will be.

Community AdminUnfortunately I don't have much of a response other than "we don't have any news on a hypothetical Skate 4.
As you mention we get lots of calls for it and Skate 3's enduring popularity says a lot about the potential for the series, but at the time of posting there's zero info.
@EA_David Too bad about Skate 4. It would be great to get a new installment. In the meantime, whats up with Skate 3 becoming backwards compatible? We know it has been announced, and has been listen as "in-progress" for quite some time now. Can you update us on the progress/ status of the process of bringing Skate 3 to Xbox One? Why has it been taking so long? Is it still happening? this year? Is it even being worked on? Microsoft says that EA is responsible for it not being added yet. So what is happening? Any response other than "it has been announced" or "it is coming soon" would be appreciated. Thanks!

Sorry, we don't have any more info other than what's been seen publicly for some time now. If there's any movement at all on Skate 3 BC I'll be sure to make a post here, but for now there's nothing.
Thanks for the replies. It just doesn't make sense to me. The current console generation has so much potential, yet the majority of games are shooters, more shooters, even more shooters, and indie games. Why is this? I'm concerned about the future of ea. The past several gaming consoles I've owned (going way back to Sega genesis), I've had plenty of ea titles. Now not so much. How long can they ride the Madden cash cow? (Which btw I used to buy every year but not since it became Madden "fantasy sim") Please stop playing it safe and give us what we want. As previously suggested at least give us a re-issue compilation. Please don't become the "sports game" company. To do that would be throwing money away. Maybe its time to get some new decision makers around there. I'm not even talking about developing new franchises, but not killing successful ones- Eg... Skate, Burnout, NBA Street, Road Rash, etc.
