Unable to sign in

So ages ago I owned a xbox 360 and played skate 3 a lot, today I finally brought it again to play. Every time I try to play I can’t sign into what looks like my old account (same account im using at the moment just different pfp and gamertag) Every time I try to sign in it always has a xbox live error saying “Sorry, this profile can’t connect to Xbox Live on this console. To fix it, download it again.” So I try downloading it using the email to the account then it just does nothing, nothing changes. Please help
