Where have my Skate 2 Online stats gone?

I recently picked up Skate 2 again after a long interlude to finall 100% the game. I got nearly everything done, I have 90% of the trophies available and was well on my way to getting the Online Legend Trophy, and consequently my platinum trophy. This was in about August to September. Upon moving back to University I attempted to complete the last remaining portion of Skate 2, getting the 5000xp needed to achieve the online legend trophy, I kept getting the message

'unable to retrieve profile. please try again later'

I have also noted that none of my stats are there any more. I had completed the 149 freeskate activities, but now it was labelled 0/149. I had no progress on any of the ranked activities and I had no medals. Hours of time removed instantly with no explanation... In the leaderboards section I had 0 score for some events, and only the xp from the events I had taken part in that day were displayed in spot battle and jam.

What I don't understand is 

a) why it was fine at the beginning of September and then just suddenly broken in mid-september

b) why the rest of the online portion of the game works but there is no recording of stats any longer

c) why there was no explanation of why and where the data has gone

Any response to this matter (hopefully positive) would be great, as it's pretty annoying being so close to a 100% I'd put so much effort into trying to get, and then having it rendered unobtainable by some error in the system.

Please, sort it out

    EA representative,

         There has been an on going issue inside the skate 2 game. Error message reads "Unable to retrieve profile. Please try again." When trying to match make or alter current match selection, thus redirecting one back to the online menu. This happens usually instantaneously or after 10 seconds max of idling in the selection menu. This makes it very cumbersome to enjoy such a great game when ones spending time fidgeting with this issue. You guys truly did us a solid bringing skate 2 back online back in January of last year. I understand skate 2 is low priority as any old game is, so therefore I hold no expectations towards seeing this issue being resolved, but I figured it was worth the time to make one aware of it. If this composition wasn't explanatory enough I would be more than happen to go into further depth or post a recording.
