Why can’t I play online specifically with my friends

I have tried every way to play skate 3 with friends specially on the Xbox one s (we both have the same Xbox) and we have tried n tried again to join each others games ect. We get to the point we’re we join or except one o these invites and juts as u think your in… it says every time that’s you r disconnected. I can play online with random ppl wich I don’t mind but would also like to play with friends or even both. Can some one please help with any info on how to go about playing this very enjoyable old sckool classic that’s beats a lot of games today. Msg on here or email at [edit: email address removed]
